What CHAI OZ is
CHAI OZ is a personal AI assistant that connects to your Gmail and Google Calendar. It runs on a server you control — or one we host for you. It speaks to you through your personal Telegram bot.
What we access
CHAI OZ connects to your Gmail account using Google's official OAuth. It reads, searches, and analyzes your emails only to answer your questions and perform the tasks you request.
It accesses your Google Calendar to read existing events and create new ones based on your instructions.
We do not access any data beyond what you explicitly authorize through the Google OAuth consent screen.
How your data is stored
Your Gmail and Calendar data is processed in real time to answer your queries. It is not permanently stored by CHAI OZ — it is read, used to generate a response, and discarded.
If you use our hosted server option, the connection credentials (OAuth tokens) are stored securely on that server, encrypted, and never shared.
If you self-host, your data stays entirely within your own infrastructure.
Third parties
Your email content and personal data are never sold, shared, or transmitted to any third party. The AI model receives only the relevant excerpts needed to answer your specific question.
Telegram
CHAI OZ communicates through a Telegram bot registered to your account. Messages are processed to determine your intent and generate a response — not stored or logged beyond the active session.
Your control
You can revoke CHAI OZ's access to your Gmail and Google Calendar at any time through your Google Account settings under "Third-party apps with account access."
